7th Grade Class, Curriculum and Program of Learning
Welcome! My goal is to help you develop your reading, writing, and speaking skills while making learning both fun and engaging. Most importantly, I believe every student has the potential to succeed, and I am here to guide and support you every step of the way.
To begin with, I hold a degree in Business Education and a TESOL certification, which allows me to teach English as a second language to learners of all ages. In addition, I am qualified to teach History, Science, and other subjects for 7th and 8th graders. Interestingly, my teaching journey began early—I started helping classmates and teammates with their studies when I was just ten years old.
Later on, in 10th grade, I had the incredible opportunity to teach functional needs children how to swim, guided by my swimming teacher. Through this experience, I discovered the importance of patience, encouragement, and empathy in teaching.
Furthermore, my leadership journey continued when I joined the Army in November 1976. During my first week, I was selected as a squad leader and later advanced to a training position at Fort Hood, Texas. This experience strengthened my ability to lead, mentor, and inspire others—a skill set that became invaluable in my teaching career.
After my military service, I pursued higher education while organizing study groups to help my peers succeed. Over time, I gained valuable experience in sales, retail, wholesale, and management, where my communication and training skills flourished.
Eventually, my passion for teaching led me overseas to China, Korea, and Saudi Arabia, where I taught over 3,500 students and trained more than 125 teachers. During this time, I developed learning materials, lesson plans, and workshops to share my love of education across cultures.
As a result, I have been honored to receive awards such as Teacher of the Month and Teacher of the Year, recognizing my dedication and commitment to excellence in education.
Above all, I truly love teaching and creating meaningful resources that empower students, teachers, and parents alike. Moving forward, I am excited to continue this learning journey with all of you and to see the amazing growth and success we will achieve together.
In summary, my lifelong mission is simple yet powerful—to help, mentor, guide, and inspire others to reach their fullest potential.
